How do I find out who my child is chattting with online?

If they are using Yahoo messenger, you may be able to see chat archives. On the toolbar, you should see a small gray face. Or a yellow smiley face if they are signed in. Click on the icon and the following screen should pop up.

Click on the "sign in" button. If you successfully sign in, you should see a list of their friends and

across the top should be the following options:

Choose the contacts option. Another menu will pop up. Choose "message archive" and the following screen will appear:

If there are archives they will be listed here and you can click on each one.

Software to protect children

I can only save images as a bmp. with Vista

I was having this problem a while back and it was driving me nuts. I tried everything that was suggested on the various message boards to no avail. I finally downloaded Google Chrome and now the problem is solved. I find Chrome to be pretty user friendly and it is very easy to manage images now. I was running Internet Explorer before. So if you are having this problem, and are open to a new browser, I would recommend trying this.

How do I cut and patse?

If you are typing words into a document and you decide that you want to put a word, sentence, or paragraph in a new location, you can cut and paste. To do this, follow these steps

1. Place your cursor right before the first letter of what you want to move. 

2. Hold down the left button of your mouse and move your mouse to the right and down until all of the text you want to move is highlighted .

3. Click the right button of your mouse.

4. Choose the "cut" from the menu that pops up.

5. Move the mouse pointer to where you want the text you have cut to be placed.

6. Click the right button of your mouse

7 . Select "paste"

you should now see your text in the new location. 

Make sure that you push the "insert" button, if needed, before pasting.
